About Dr. Sibel Eljach
Having transformed thousands of smiles across Miami since 2020 and previously practicing in Chicago, where she also attended school, Dr. Eljach offers extensive clinical expertise and a patient-first philosophy to her own practice. A graduate of the University of Illinois Chicago College of Dentistry and its industry-pioneering Orthodontics Residency Program, Dr. Eljach graduated at the top of her class and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honors Society. Notably, she was the recipient of the American Association of Orthodontists’ Best Resident Award when she attended school.

The practice’s design and build-out process was a very hands-on endeavor led by husband and Miami native Salomon Eljach, whose background informs a space that balances aesthetics, functionality, and patient comfort — reflecting the practice’s commitment to a positive experience from the first visit. Salomon, who grew up in Kendall, met Dr. Sibel Eljach in Chicago. He is an accomplished Commercial Real Estate Development Executive and former Adjunct Professor at his alma mater, the University of Miami College of Engineering, where he has taught graduate courses in Hospital and Healthcare Design and Construction. He is surely delivering on what he must have promised his lovely- one day building the very best clinic for her…!

Located at the easy-and-free-to-park 2000 S Dixie Highway commercial building in North Coconut Grove, Coco Smiles is located near where I-95 also starts. This makes it convenient for places near and far. In its short time open, the practice has even welcomed patients from as far as Boca Raton seeking specialized orthodontic care.
Its location in Coconut Grove easily serves patients throughout Greater Miami, including Brickell, Downtown Miami, Design District, Miami Shores, Key Biscayne, and Miami Beach. Even closer, along the US-1 corridor, are neighboring communities such as The Roads, Coral Gables, South Miami, Pinecrest, and Kendall.
Grand Opening Celebration
The grand opening, which took place in late May, was attended by several supportive dentists and dental specialists from the area as well as other medical professionals and business owners who Dr. Eljach feels fortunate to call her friends. Included were several families from her and Salomon’s four-year-old daughter Zoe’s school.
His Excellency Consul General Resul Şahinol was also in attendance. His presence reflected strong support for Dr. Sibel Eljach’s vision — and highlighted the growing Turkish community in our Miami, which is so palpable by way of the increasing number of excellent Turkish doctors, yummy Turkish restaurants, dazzling Turkish goods stores, and even the currently being built downtown tallest in Miami Skyscraper going up by a Turkish developer. “Our goal is to make every patient’s smile journey a positive experience, and yes, our world-renowned Turkish hospitality is certainly at the center of that effort. In turn, I am so grateful to the Miami community for welcoming me with such warmth. My personal fears of not speaking perfect Spanish are less every day as I continue to practice with my staff and even more so subsided when that Cuban Abuela brings her grandchild to their orthodontic appointment and only wants to speak to me about the latest Turkish telenovela! I have to admit, I don’t know them all, but I gotta admit they are indeed all the hype and, albeit translated, amazingly still provide all the feels!” COCO Smiles staff speaks English, Spanish, Portuguese, and Turkish.
