New Greek Concept Opening this May

As part of the ongoing shift in Coconut Grove toward more polished, higher-end dining, a new Greek concept is set to open in May 2026. Manoli will introduce the neighborhood to a fresh take on Greek cuisine, one rooted in tradition, yet shaped for a modern Miami audience. Situated at Grove Garden next to Magie Wine Bar, the restaurant blends authentic flavors, coastal inspiration, and a lively neighborhood atmosphere, adding another layer to the Grove’s evolving culinary scene.

At the heart of Manoli is chef Emmanouil “Manoli” Aslanoglou, whose menu draws deeply from family recipes passed down through generations. Rather than reinventing Greek cuisine entirely, the approach leans into authenticity, highlighting classic dishes prepared with care, while incorporating subtle, modern interpretations that make the menu approachable to a broader audience. Alongside traditional Greek staples, diners can expect thoughtful nods to familiar American favorites, all executed with a Mediterranean sensibility.

Seasonality and ingredient quality are central to the kitchen’s philosophy. Dishes will emphasize fresh, thoughtfully sourced components, allowing simple preparations to shine. This focus extends beyond the plate to the beverage program, where Greek-inspired cocktails and a curated wine list spotlight producers from Greece, offering guests a more immersive cultural experience.

The design and atmosphere aim to transport diners straight to the Greek islands. Inspired by coastal living, the space balances relaxed elegance with a vibrant social energy. With approximately 140 seats spread across indoor, outdoor, and bar areas, Manoli is designed to function as both a casual neighborhood spot and a destination for lively evenings. The ambiance is expected to evolve throughout the night, starting with laid-back dining and building into a more energetic, social setting on weekends.

Manoli’s arrival reflects a broader transformation underway in Coconut Grove, where the dining scene is steadily moving toward more refined, experience-driven concepts. While the neighborhood has long been defined by its laid-back charm, a new wave of restaurants is reshaping expectations, blending elevated design, curated menus, and a stronger emphasis on hospitality-driven experiences. Manoli fits squarely within this evolution, offering a refined yet welcoming take on Mediterranean dining.

By combining heritage recipes, high-quality ingredients, and a transportive setting, Manoli aims to offer more than just a meal. It positions itself as a place where guests can settle in, share food, and feel, if only briefly, like they’ve stepped onto a sun-soaked terrace somewhere in the Greek islands.
