Coconut Grove’s Tree Lighting

The 17th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting on November 30

Miami’s version of Rockefeller Center’s Tree Lighting is back, and the holiday festivities continue with a Polar Express-themed experience on November 30 with the 17th Annual Coconut Grove Christmas Tree Lighting, taking place on Fuller Street at 6 pm. The family-friendly event will start with the first-ever Golf Cart Parade that Grovites and businesses are welcome to participate in, followed by Santa’s Grand Arrival, Christmas Carols by St. Stephens’ Episcopal Church Choir, Holiday Blessing by Father Matthew from St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, a sparkling snow zone including real snow, free photo opportunities with Santa in CocoWalk for families and children to enjoy and holiday treats and crafts. There will also be exciting performances and shows on Fuller Street, like a theatrical Nutcracker performance, as well as other unforgettable and mesmerizing one-hour-long performances. 

Not only will CocoWalk have a Christmas show, but Narbona will also be selling hot chocolate. The highlight of the evening, however, will be the grand lighting of the Christmas Tree, illuminating the Grove with the spirit of the season. Additionally, there will be a Hanukkah Menorah. Guests are encouraged to arrive comfy in their favorite holiday pajamas.

“This event marks the beginning of a magical holiday season in Coconut Grove,” continued Burns. “In true Florida fashion, we’re celebrating the holidays with a Golf Cart Parade, which is a festive piece of our event that you likely won’t find in many other places during the winter! We invite everyone to come together, celebrate community and revel in the joy of the holidays. We look forward to seeing everyone there!”

The event will be hosted by District 2 Commissioner Damian Pardo and the Coconut Grove Business Improvement District.
