Coconut Grove woke up to a different kind of energy Saturday morning as Faces of Fitness Miami 2026 officially took over Regatta Park, bringing together fitness enthusiasts, national wellness brands, celebrity talent, and local businesses for a weekend dedicated to movement, health, and community.

Making its highly anticipated South Florida debut, the two-day festival, presented by CELSIUS, transformed the waterfront park into a vibrant fitness destination filled with high-energy workouts, wellness experiences, interactive brand activations, giveaways, and an atmosphere that had participants moving from the moment they arrived.

And Coconut Grove showed up.

“We are so happy to be in Coconut Grove! The energy, the vibe, the people here really showed up,” said David Grass, Co-Founder and CEO of Faces of Fitness, expressing his excitement about the festival’s reception in the neighborhood.

With tickets selling out ahead of opening weekend, the festival arrived with tremendous momentum, drawing fitness enthusiasts from across South Florida and beyond.

The event brings together nationally recognized brands, including CELSIUS and lululemon, alongside some of Miami’s most recognizable fitness personalities and instructors.

Among the featured talent are Mimi Yoga; Jacqueline Kasen of Anatomy Limitless; Aryan Rashed of Tremble; Rachel Robinson and Derek DeGrazio of Barry’s; and Natali Melani and Lucia Di Tore of lululemon. NBA legend Dwyane Wade adds star power to the weekend as one of the festival’s headline attractions.

A Wellness Village With More Than 70 Experiences

Beyond the workout stages, one of the festival’s major attractions is The Wellness Village, powered by Sweatpals, featuring more than 70 experiences across five themed categories: Body as Hydration, Body as Fuel, Body as Oasis, Body as Machine, and Body as Fluid.

Visitors can explore everything from hydration and nutritional products to fitness technology, recovery innovations, health screenings, and interactive workout challenges.

Major participating brands include Gatorade, Propel, vitaminwater, LaCroix, Liquid Death, Muscle Milk, Peloton, TRX, SHOKZ, RITFIT, and Perform Better, offering product demonstrations, sampling, fitness experiences, and giveaways throughout the weekend.

The Body as Oasis section introduces participants to wellness and recovery innovations, including blood testing experiences by rythm, wellness offerings from PRIMABIOTIC, and interactive experiences from Baptist Health. Other brands, including KRAMPZ and Dude Wipes, bring their own approaches to personal care and wellness.

For those interested in nutrition, Body as Fuel features Carrot Express, Nowadays, MEZCLA, and The Better Bite, showcasing healthy food options, plant-based protein, and better-for-you snacks.

Coconut Grove Businesses Join the Experience

While national brands bring major visibility to the event, local businesses are also part of the celebration.

Chug’s Diner, a Coconut Grove neighborhood favorite, is among the featured businesses, introducing festival goers to its vibrant flavors and healthy snack offerings.

Miami-based Carrot Express, known for its health-conscious menu, adds a local connection to the festival’s nutrition-focused experiences, highlighting the role food plays in an active lifestyle.

The participation of local businesses alongside national fitness and wellness companies creates opportunities for neighborhood brands to connect with visitors who may be discovering Coconut Grove for the first time.

From complimentary beverages and protein samples to interactive demonstrations, wellness screenings, and fitness challenges, the Wellness Village offers something beyond the traditional fitness festival experience.

This is a movement for the Grove!

Beyond the workouts and celebrity appearances, the festival represents something bigger for Coconut Grove: the neighborhood’s growing appeal as a destination for major lifestyle and community events.

Known for its waterfront setting, outdoor culture, and strong neighborhood identity, Coconut Grove provides a natural backdrop for a festival built around active living and human connection.

The arrival of Faces of Fitness Miami also highlights the increasing intersection of fitness, hospitality, food, technology, and wellness, industries that continue to shape how people experience health and lifestyle.

For local businesses, the weekend brings an opportunity to introduce their brands to a wider audience. For residents, it brings another major experience directly into their neighborhood.

And for visitors, it offers a chance to discover the Grove beyond the festival grounds.

For its first South Florida appearance, Faces of Fitness Miami couldn’t have asked for a more energetic welcome. And Coconut Grove proved it knows how to show up.

The festival continues Sunday, October 25, at Regatta Park in Coconut Grove.

On Saturday, May 16, the University of Miami Student Center Complex will transform into a music-filled gathering space for families as Little Jam Fest returns for its third annual celebration.

Created by Miami-based children’s music company Jam with Jamie, Little Jam Fest has grown into a recognizable South Florida family event centered around live music, interactive play, and community connection. What began as a vision to bring families together through music has evolved into an annual gathering that draws more than 1,000 parents and children from across South Florida, including Coconut Grove, Pinecrest, Coral Gables, Palmetto Bay, and beyond.

New this year, the festival is launching the “Uplifting Young Voices” program in partnership with The Miami Foundation, inviting children ages 9–16 across South Florida to submit performances for a chance to win $250 and perform live on the main stage. Three young performers will be selected to showcase both an original song and a cover, highlighting youth creativity and confidence through music.

At the heart of the festival is founder Jamie Kolnick, whose company, Jam with Jamie, has spent the past 17 years bringing music into children’s lives. What started as birthday party performances has expanded into a nationwide children’s entertainment company offering preschool enrichment programs, public classes, community concerts, and large-scale family experiences across 9 cities. Miami, however, remains deeply personal, and Little Jam Fest
reflects that local focus.

“Music has a way of building community in the most natural way,” Kolnick says. “When families are singing and moving together, something meaningful happens. That’s what this festival is about.”

Inside the University of Miami venue, families can expect a curated experience designed for young children and their caregivers. The day will feature live musical performances, interactive jam sessions, youth performers, sensory-friendly play zones, creative craft stations, local and national brand activations, and food and beverage experiences that encourage families to explore together.

Unlike many traditional children’s events, Little Jam Fest is designed to feel immersive yet welcoming. Parents are encouraged to participate alongside their children — singing, dancing, and engaging in activities together rather than watching from the sidelines.

In 2025, the City of Miami Beach officially recognized the event with a proclamation declaring “Little Jam Fest Day,” acknowledging its cultural and community-building role in South Florida. The recognition reflected what many families already felt: that Little Jam Fest had become more than an event — it had become a tradition. Part of that success comes from strong community partnerships. Over the past two years, the festival has collaborated with organizations such as Baptist Health, Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, Miami Children’s Museum, Team Citron, Tonies, Sunset Pediatrics, local schools, and small businesses, helping create an experience that reflects the neighborhoods it serves.

The 2024 festival debuted at Jungle Island’s Bloom Ballroom, drawing more than 1,000 attendees. In 2025, the event expanded to the Miami Beach Convention Center, introducing wellness zones and additional youth performers. Now at the University of Miami for its third year, the festival continues to evolve while staying grounded in its original mission: building meaningful family connections through music.

As families increasingly look for opportunities to connect offline, Little Jam Fest offers a shared space for joy, creativity, and community — where music becomes a bridge between grown ups, children, and the broader South Florida community.

Tickets for Little Jam Fest will go on sale March 15th at http://www.littlejamfest.com

You can sign up for a one time only early bird discount!

Iconic 1960s-inspired evening raises vital funds for historic preservation at Vizcaya Museum and Gardens

On Saturday, November 23, 2024, Vizcaya Museum and Gardens hosted its 67th Annual Vizcaya Ball, a black-tie event celebrating the late 1960s-inspired theme, “Vizcaya Royale.” This year’s event welcomed more than 360 prominent Miami philanthropists and society leaders to the National Historic Landmark, raising critical funds to preserve the estate and share its cultural resources with our community.

“The Vizcaya Ball is a treasured tradition that celebrates Miami’s cultural heritage while ensuring Vizcaya remains a beacon of history and inspiration for future generations,” said Joel Hoffman, Executive Director of Vizcaya Museum and Gardens.

The evening began with a pink-carpet welcome at Vizcaya’s Main House, where guests arrived in vintage-inspired evening gowns and tailored tuxedos, channeling the refined glamour of the late 1960s. A lively cocktail reception filled the historic Courtyard, as live classical music set the tone for an unforgettable evening. Guests mingled while browsing an exquisite collection of auction items, all in support of Vizcaya’s preservation mission.

The celebration continued with a waterfront dinner prepared by Thierry Catering and Event Design, offering views of Vizcaya’s iconic Stone Barge and the glittering Biscayne Bay. Entertainment by the Valerie Tyson Band and a captivating dance performance by the New Century Dance Company elevated the energy as guests took to the dance floor under a canopy of stars.

This year’s Vizcaya Ball was co-chaired by esteemed patrons Nancy McCormick and Ray Rasco, along with Alexa and Adam Wolman, supported by a prestigious Ball Committee: Tatiana Arteaga Teo, Suzy Buckley Woodward, Eilah Campbell-Beavers, Elizabeth Costa de Rusch, Swanee DiMare, Sandra Fiorenza, Roxana Garciga, Sonia Gibson, John Grisham, Camila Guiribitey, Cathy Jones, Marile Lopez, Linda Lynn Levy, Christy Martin, Sheila Martinez, Nancy McCormick, Ken O’Keefe, Cammy Richards, Yvonne Rosemeier and Josie Wang.

Presenting Sponsors included Lynn Atkinson and David Drucker, Guiribitey Family Foundation, Nancy McCormick and Ray Rasco, Ken O’Keefe and Jason Stephens. Republic National Distributing Company was the Beverage Sponsor with Logistic Events as the Decor Sponsor.

Proceeds from the Vizcaya Ball will directly fund the ongoing preservation of the Vizcaya estate and the innovative community programs hosted within in.

ABOUT VIZCAYA MUSEUM AND GARDENS

Vizcaya Museum and Gardens is a National Historic Landmark that preserves its cultural and environmental resources to engage people in connecting with the past, understanding the present and shaping the future. Built between 1914 and 1922 as the winter home of farming manufacturer James Deering, Vizcaya is one of the most intact remaining examples from this era in the United States, when the nation’s most successful entrepreneur-built estates were inspired by the stately homes of Europe. Vizcaya features a Main House filled with a decorative art collection, 10 acres of formal gardens, a rockland hammock (native forest), and mangrove shore. The estate also includes the historic Vizcaya Village, which is being restored to tell Vizcaya’s full story and provide additional spaces for programs and community outreach, including urban farming initiatives. Vizcaya has been a community hub since it opened to the public in 1953; it welcomes 300,000 visitors annually.

Located on Biscayne Bay at 3251 South Miami Avenue, Vizcaya is open Wednesday through Monday from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Closed Tuesdays, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. For more information, visit www.vizcaya.org, connect via social media, or call 305-250-9133.

Taking place on Sunday, January 14, 2024, Ariete’s anniversary bash kicks off at 5PM with a special celebration on the back terrace until 10PM. As the sun sets, the backyard will transform into a lively yard party with pop up bars, $6 cervezas, $6 frozen daiquiris, $8 specialty cocktails and live Latin music. For those seeking a touch of smokey sophistication, cigars will be on-hand.

Naturally, Ariete will also be open for a la carte dinner service. Reservations, as always, are greatly recommended.

Since Beltran first came on the scene as a chef and restaurateur, his flagship restaurant — once “just” a wildly popular coconut gem — has evolved into the jewel in his culinary crown.
