Saturday, June 20

Bodyrok Mat Pilates | Summer Solstice Celebration x CocoWalk  | 9 a.m – 10 a.m

An outdoor mat Pilates class hosted by Bodyrok in the CocoWalk plaza. Led by a certified instructor, the all-levels class will feature intentional movement, a mindful playlist and a community atmosphere designed to help guests start the summer feeling refreshed and strong. Mats will be provided, and participants will receive $5 off Chop Steakhouse & Bar’s Brunch Cocktail Making Class.

Brunch Cocktail Making Class with Chop Steakhouse & Bar | 11 a.m  – 12:30 p.m

An interactive cocktail-making class with Chop Steakhouse & Bar, where guests will learn step by step how to make two of Chop’s signature cocktails, the Espresso Martini and Hugo Twist. The experience includes two handcrafted cocktails and a curated goody bag provided by Montce Swim, featuring swag and special offers from CocoWalk restaurants and shops.

The Reading Party with Books & Books | 4 p.m to 6 p.m.

In collaboration with Books & Books and the Books & Books Literary Foundation, guests are invited to join a silent reading party in the CocoWalk plaza hosted by Alyssa Expósito. The gathering will offer a relaxed, introvert-friendly experience where readers can bring their current book, enjoy 30 to 60 minutes of companionable silence and connect with fellow book lovers afterward.

Golden Hour Groove with Coconut Groove Miami | 6 p.m to 10 p.m.

The Saturday celebration will close with an open-air evening featuring a live DJ set by Coconut Groove Miami, specialty cocktails available for purchase from Chop Steakhouse & Bar and Narbona.

Sunday, June 21

Father’s Day Groove with Coconut Groove Miami | 6 p.m to 10 p.m.

The celebration will continue on Father’s Day with Father’s Day Groove, an open-air evening in the CocoWalk plaza featuring a live DJ set by Coconut Groove Miami, summer-inspired cocktails from Chop Steakhouse & Bar and Narbona. Guests are invited to bring Dad, enjoy music and drinks, and celebrate the start of summer with golden hour vibes.

On Thursday, June 19th, community members gathered at Books & Books in Coconut Grove for an inspiring evening with Daniela Jean, who discussed her latest release, From Rookie to Rockstar: Lessons in Leadership, Service, and Purpose.

Held in honor of Juneteenth, the program was both a celebration of progress and a reflection on the ongoing journey toward freedom, equity, and excellence.

A Night of Dialogue and Inspiration

Daniela Jean shared powerful lessons from her path as a public servant, educator, and leader, highlighting the importance of perseverance, service, and purpose. She reminded attendees that leadership is not about holding titles but about making a lasting difference.

The conversation was enriched by the presence of Commissioner Damian Pardo and Elliot Durant III, former president of the Coconut Grove Chamber of Commerce, who joined in reflecting on the significance of community leadership and collective empowerment. Their perspective added a local dimension to the evening, connecting Daniela’s themes of service and progress with the Grove’s own tradition of civic engagement.

Attendees also had the opportunity to ask questions, engage in meaningful dialogue, and have their copies of From Rookie to Rockstar signed by the author.
