Submit a Story

Welcome to the Coconut Grove Magazine! We’re thrilled that you want us to publish your story. To ensure a smooth submission process, please take a moment to review the following notes.

First, let’s address the legal stuff. By submitting content, you agree to our terms and conditions, which you can find here.

For submissions, we prefer email. Please send the text, images or videos of your story to editor@coconutgrovemagazine.com

When it comes to selecting submissions, we don’t have strict criteria, but we generally look for content that is fresh, innovative, newsworthy, with a compelling story and high-quality images. Please keep in mind that we receive a large number of submissions and may not be able to reply to everyone, although we do our best to review everything.

To submit your project, simply email us a selection of good JPEGs (at least 1,500 pixels on the shortest sides), provide some text, and include relevant links. It’s important to have a look at our copyright policy before submitting any material.

If you need to send zipped images or links to file sharing sites, please include a few sample images in your email to give us an idea of the content. Don’t hold back on the number of images – the more, the better.

Now, let’s talk about what happens after you submit your story. If we’re interested, we will be in touch; however, please note that it may take some time for us to get back to you. If you haven’t heard from us and would like to send a gentle reminder, feel free to do so. We’re only human and sometimes things slip through the cracks.

As a contributor to the Coconut Grove Magazine, you will be added to our mailing list. We send occasional emails to our contributors, so please let us know if you do not wish to receive these emails or feel free to unsubscribe at any time. For more information on how we use data in relation to newsletters, please refer to our privacy policy.

Next, let’s talk about exclusivity. We are more inclined to publish content that are sent to us exclusively. If you are offering us an exclusive, please make this clear in your submission email.

If you have a movie related to your project, we’d love to see it! We usually upload submitted movies to our own channels, such as YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram, instead of embedding from other accounts. Please note that we may edit movies, but we will ask for your permission first.

For our real estate contributors, plans, renderings, 3D, virtual tours and sketches are highly popular with our readers, so please include them as well if possible.

Lastly, it’s important to include credits, especially for the images. While we may not be able to pay for photography, we are more than happy to provide credits, links, and full copyright details where appropriate. Many photographers willingly share their work with us as publication on Coconut Grove Magazine is a great way to promote their work and often leads to commissions from other publications. Just be sure to have the permission of the copyright holder for all the material you submit. For more details, please refer to our submissions terms and conditions.

Once your story is published, we encourage you to share it enthusiastically on social media, newsletters, and your website. This will help your story gain more visibility and attention. Don’t be shy! Tag us @coconutgrovemag

We hope that people will comment on your story in our comments section. Whether the comments are constructive or not, we encourage you to engage with our audience by responding and challenging. Please refer to our comments policy for more information on how we manage comments.

Thank you for choosing to submit your content to the Coconut Grove Magazine!
