Standing with the Caribbean: Vizcaya Museum and Gardens Hosts Hurricane Melissa Donation Drive

At Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, community is at the heart of every initiative. As Hurricane Melissa continues to sweep across the Caribbean, the devastating impact of the storm is already being felt by countless families and communities.

Florida, home to the largest Caribbean American population in the nation, stands in solidarity with our neighbors across the sea. This Sunday, Vizcaya invites the community to join together in support of those affected by the storm at the Vizcaya Village Farmers Market.

Visitors are encouraged to bring canned goods and nonperishable items to contribute to the ongoing relief efforts. All collected donations will be delivered to the City of Lauderhill’s official donation drive, which is coordinating recovery support for hurricane-impacted areas.

“Together, we can make a difference—one donation at a time,” said Vizcaya representatives. “Our community’s compassion and generosity will help bring hope and relief to those most in need.”

The donation drive will take place this Sunday at Vizcaya Village, located at 3250 South Miami Avenue, Miami, FL 33129. Please note that the gate at SW 32nd Road remains closed as restoration work continues at Vizcaya Village. Attendees should enter through the main Parking Lot from South Miami Avenue.

Visitors are reminded that admission to the Farmers Market does not include entry to the Main Museum & Gardens on the east side of the estate.
