NOW OPEN: CHOP Steakhouse Makes Sizzling U.S. Debut in Coconut Grove

Coconut Grove just raised the bar once again for fine dining. On June 11, CHOP Steakhouse, the renowned Canadian-born upscale steakhouse and sister brand to Moxies, officially opened its first U.S. location at CocoWalk, turning up the heat on Miami’s culinary scene.

Taking over the expansive 10,000-square-foot space formerly occupied by The Key Club, CHOP introduces a bold new chapter for both the Grove and the brand itself. Known across Canada for its premium steaks and refined atmosphere, CHOP brings nearly two decades of excellence to a city that appreciates bold flavors and top-tier experiences.

Founded in 2006, CHOP has built a reputation for steak perfection with 18 locations across Canada—and over 597,000 steaks served just last year. Now, its first American outpost is ready to bring that same energy to the Grove with a sleek, chef-driven concept tailored to U.S. diners.

Guests can expect signature favorites like the Prime Tomahawk, Miso Seabass and Smoked Prime Rib Eye, along with irresistible starters including Crab Cakes, Sicilian Hummus, and Bruschetta Flatbread. The CHOP USA experience is already online at chopsteakhouse.com and on Instagram via @chopsteakhouseusa, teasing a “premium steak experience” that lives up to the hype.

This grand opening also marks a major milestone for hospitality veteran Paul Randle, President of Eatz Hospitality US and franchise owner of Moxies in both Canada and the U.S. Celebrating 31 years with Moxies, Paul is praised not only for his leadership and business acumen but also for his unwavering integrity, humility, and vision. His commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive culture has fueled innovation and growth across the brand.

With CHOP now open in the heart of Coconut Grove, locals and visitors alike have a new destination for unforgettable nights, elevated cuisine, and a whole lot of steak.

Welcome to the neighborhood, CHOP — Coconut Grove has been waiting.
