Monster Mash Was a “Scary Good Time”

The 3rd Annual Monster Mash at the Woman’s Club of Coconut Grove on October 23 was a frightfully fun evening filled with costumes, dancing, and community spirit. The festive event brought out families, friends, and neighbors for a night of Halloween-themed fun—all while supporting a meaningful cause: providing Thanksgiving food baskets for local families in need.

Organized by Illine Davila, President of the Woman’s Club of Coconut Grove, and Kelsey Rostock, President of the Rotary Club of Coconut Grove, the celebration showcased the power of local collaboration and community involvement. Rostock, a Coconut Grove resident and real estate agent, is also active with the Junior League of Miami and is known for her strong commitment to volunteerism and neighborhood engagement.

The Monster Mash guests enjoyed a night of dancing, a costume contest, and a raffle featuring prizes donated by generous local businesses, including Stretch Zone, Flip and Friends, Emissary Coffee, John Martin’s, Ariete Restaurant, Arya Hotel, and a full-page ad in Coconut Grove Magazine.

The lucky grand prize winner of the grand prize, the full-page ad was Pablo Tamayo, a Miami-based personal injury attorney and partner at Geller Tamayo, LLC. A seasoned trial lawyer with deep community roots, Pablo began his career as a Miami-Dade prosecutor and now represents clients across South Florida in a wide range of personal injury cases. You will be learning more about him in the next print issue.

Children danced the night away while adults mingled and celebrated the Halloween spirit. The Monster Mash once again proved to be one of Coconut Grove’s most anticipated fall events—bringing together fun, friendship, and community for a spooktacular cause.
