Historic Coconut Grove Bungalow Welcomes the OG Studio, Art and Antiques Pop-up

Grove Properties’ signature bungalow located at 3936 Main Highway is now hosting a temporary installation curated by local art and antiques expert and realtor, Olga Granda. Titled “OG studio at Grove Properties,” the exhibition features pieces from different periods, with modern and antique works showcasing Granda’s layered style of weaving together old and new.

Currently on view in the historic real estate office is a remarkable pink-dominated painting by Miami’s own Purvis Young, a series of French impressionist paintings, and an authentic Gothic period stone pedestal, among other rare items.

Designed to bring people and ideas together, the “OG studio at Grove Properties” operates as a working environment and curated space. Mixing a career in real estate and design, Granda offers clients a combination of services to find and create their perfect property. Visitors can explore pieces thoughtfully hand-selected by Granda and experience her aesthetic approach in an intimate setting. With a cultivated perspective shaped by her lifelong career in the arts, she guides clients’ journeys toward purchasing homes with context and potential, and often remains involved in guiding renovations and sourcing authentic pieces, particularly for historic properties.

The well-known cottage, located across from the Vanguard School, is the oldest continuous real estate office in Coconut Grove. It was built by the Sunshine Fruits Company in the 1920s to sell and manage area property to new arrivals.

“Since the closure of most of Miami’s antique galleries, including my family’s Alhambra Antiques and the Grove’s Midori Gallery, locals have been hard-pressed to find unique items or historical works of art for their homes,” explained Granda. The historic location made for a natural place to combine her work as both a property and art advisor. “My intent is to reactivate this setting which inherently evokes a connection with the area’s past. When we are stewards of objects or places that have survived decades or centuries of history, we have the opportunity to connect to a continuum of design and creativity that keeps moving forward.”
