A Sweet Rolling Love Letter: Husband Turned a Bakery on Wheels Into a Tribute to His Wife

There’s a new scent in the air in Coconut Grove—fresh-baked pastries, sizzling breakfast sandwiches, and the unmistakable warmth of something made with love. Welcome to Ophelia, a charming RV bakery named after the woman who inspired it all.

Located at 2140 S Dixie Hwy, Ophelia is the heartwarming creation of a husband-and-wife duo who left the world of fine dining to start something more personal, more joyful, and more meaningful. After years in professional kitchens, they dreamed of a space where they could serve their community directly—where every bite felt like home.

And the name? That came straight from the heart.
Ophelia is their passion project, a true labor of love. The husband shares that her father has always affectionately called his wife “Ophelia, my daughter,” a sweet gesture that stuck with them over the years. When it came time to name their dream-on-wheels, it was the only choice that felt right.

Ophelia is my love letter to her, to us, and to the city that brought us together,” he says.

On the menu: flaky pastries, savory breakfast sandwiches with crispy bacon and melted cheddar on house-made English muffins, and whimsical coffee drinks that bring joy with every sip. Their signature banana bread, topped with crunchy walnuts and cream cheese frosting, is already winning hearts—and taste buds.

Ophelia is more than just a bakery. It’s a moving tribute to love, to family, and to the simple pleasure of sharing good food with good people.

📍 Find Ophelia Thursday through Saturday, 8AM–1PM at 2140 S Dixie Hwy
